What is DeepBrain?
DepBrain is a Korean company that provides a cloud-based service for video creation that works on a subscription basis.
This company features many big companies among their clients on their webpage, such as Hyundai, Posco, LG, Samsung, NEC, and similar ones. DeepBrain has three business units:
AI Human: A product focused on real-time conversations with customers, with hyper-realistic 2D avatars (and also 3D). Mainly useful for customer service kiosks.
AI Studios: Text to video solution for creating AI-generated videos using text aimed at creators and marketers.
AI Interview: A product to improve the HR process using AI human-like avatars and interactions.
In this review, we will focus on DeepBrain AI Studios.
What sets DeepBrain apart from traditional video creation?
There is no need for cameras, microphones, or actors: The platform features virtual actors (named avatars) that resemble human behavior with gestures and lip-synching according to speech.
You don’t need editing tools or equipment: This software has an editing dashboard, and you can add image and video backgrounds, texts, sound, and music.
There are no localization costs: A single video can be shared among different viewers only by changing the spoken language with a pair of clicks.
Incredibly low video production costs: Production costs equal to a monthly pricing plan currently starting at $30/month.
You don’t need any previous experience: DeepBrain features an intuitive dashboard to create a video in minutes.

How to create a video with DeepBrain
1-Once you are logged in to the platform, you must choose to start with ChatGPT, URL to AI video, solid background, default template, or import PowerPoint.
2-Select vertical or horizontal template from 100+ available; explainer video, social media, learning and development, and more categories. You can click on the template to play a preview video. These templates are fully customizable and can be adjusted to your needs.
Once you select a template, you can play a video preview to test how it feels.
The template includes an avatar, but you can change it and choose close-up, half-body, circle view, left, center, or right screen position.
3-Click on create video to go to the dashboard where the video creation process begins.
4-Within the dashboard, you can choose avatar style and whole or head avatar or voice only with no avatar.
There are also many languages and voice selections available. You can add pauses and listen to the spoken script too.
5-To insert a text script, you can make it manually or even use Chat-GPT integration. This feature helps to craft a text script with a single click and is a game changer. With this feature, you don´t have to go out of the platform to get a Chat-GPT result, and in our experience, it integrated seamlessly into the video creation process.
DeepBrain has an interesting feature that lets you upload an audio file to use as a voiceover or even record your own voice using the PC microphone. It also features a screen recorder.
6-You can add text, subtitles, images, background, videos, audio, and shapes from the right sidebar. All these assets are royalty-free, so you don’t have to worry about copywriting issues. Of course you can upload your own graphic and audio assets to use existing resources or for branding purposes.
7-Preview your video; Once you have your video ready, you can preview it before submitting it. In this stage, the avatar is fixed with no animation. Click submit, and you will get the video in your dashboard.
While we tested the platform, a 1-minute video took 3 minutes to render, a very fast time for the industry standards.
DeepBrain best features
Flexible Pricing Plans
DeepBrain offers many pricing plan options, ranging from 10 min/per month to 240 min/per month. They also provide customized enterprise plans to suit specific needs.
Many Korean, Chinese, and Japanese avatars
DeepBrain is the platform to go if you are into these markets.
Continuous product updates
DeepBrain adds new features and avatars regularly.
DeepBrain pricing
DeepBrain offers a flexible pricing scheme. You can try the platform for free with a 1-minute video, and the next paid plan is $24/month (billed annually) for 10 minutes of video creation.
This basic plan includes 100+ human avatars, and 80+ languages, with no watermark.
Pricing plans go up to $600/month with 240 video minutes per month, but you can ask for custom pricing for your specific needs. You can create a 1-minute video for free on their webpage.
Deepbrain pricing is the standard for this type of service. But if you are looking for cheaper options, Elai.io offers 15 minutes of video per month for $23/month billed annually, 50% more minutes for the same money. This price relationship also reflects on higher plans, and Elai’s offers excellent service.
What we would like DeepBrain to improve
Onboarding and tutorials
There are a few tutorials on the webpage. Making a video with DeepBrain is no rocket science, but we would like a better onboarding schema, including video tutorials.
Integrations
DeepBrain provides a proprietary API, but there are no native integrations at present. If you need to integrate this tool into your current workflow, try Elai.io (which also integrates with Zapier) or Synthesia. Hourone also offers many interesting social media integrations.
Workspaces and collaboration
DeepBrain doesn’t have collaboration options, a crucial feature if you work with team members. Once again, Elai.io and Hourone have workspaces and team members’ options depending on pricing plans.
Avatar gestures
Avatar gestures are limited to hands and body and don’t look natural. If you need complete avatar gestures, Colossyan Creator is the only platform that lets you adjust AI avatars’ ages, emotions, and expressions. Synthesia has recently added limited avatar gestures too.
DeepBrain reviews and support
DeepBrain offers a personal helpdesk via telephone, a fantastic feature difficult to find nowadays.
They also offer support via chat, and you can expect a reply in under 30 minutes.
G2 shows only 5 ratings and reviews with a 4.8/5 score. This does not suffice to take a serious indicator. Furthermore, Product Hunt shows 151 reviews with a 4,9/5 score, a better reference for users’ take.
There is also a forum where users can request new features and ask for support, but it shows very little activity.
DeepBrain Review: Our take
DeepBrain offers many features currently available in this type of platform. Some avatars have natural movements, but others need some polishing and improvement. Hand and body movements are exciting features that are not available to other competitors but don’t look natural and fresh.
Some voices need to be improved too. We don´t know languages other than English and Spanish to check voice quality, but most English voices sound good, and some Spanish voices sound robotic.
If you are looking for Korean, Chinese, or Japanese avatars, this is the best platform with many related avatars.
Overall, using DeepBrain is straightforward. The platform runs smoothly without glitches and lets you create a video in minutes at incredibly low cost.
